If you are a nurse practitioner and are responsible for some ...

If you’re a nurse practitioner and are responsible for some or all of the monthly expenses of your home, you should consider purchasing a personal disability insurance policy.

As a nurse practitioner, you probably make between $60,000 and $140,000 per year or more. You may have large monthly expenses as well, such as school loans, a home mortgage, and perhaps private school tuition for your kids. Insuring your nurse practitioner income is really just part of a sound financial plan.

You’ll be able to review rates from Guardian and Berkshire, two of the leading providers of individual disability insurance

We quote all the major disability insurance carriers so you’ll have many quotes to compare

We’ll help you learn more about the options available to protect your physical therapist income

Back injuries, cancer, heart disease, and other illnesses cause the majority of long-term disability. In fact, if you’re around the age of 40, your chances of experiencing a disability prior to age 65 which lasts three months or greater are 21% or approximately 1 in 5.

Let us help you find disability insurance information, coverage and rates that fit into your over-all financial plan. Give Jeff Pennington a call at 1-877-221-6198 or use the form on the right to request a quote, get answers to your questions, and find the right policy.

Protector Platinum from The Standard provides a comprehensive set of disability insurance benefits:

The Own Occupation definition of disability truly applies to all occupation classes.

The Compassionate Care Benefit pays a monthly benefit if the insured has a loss of earnings of 20 percent or more while caring for a loved one with a serious health condition.

An automatic increase benefit for individuals under age 60, means they raise the policy’s basic monthly benefit by 4 percent each year during the increase period without evidence of insurability.

The total disability benefit pays benefits to insureds who cannot work in their regular occupations because of a total disability, as defined by the policy.

They presume the insured is eligible for the total disability benefit if an injury or illness results in loss of speech, hearing, sight or the use of two limbs, as defined by the policy.

If the insured is partially disabled, they’ll pay 100 percent of the basic monthly benefit for the first six months regardless of the income the insured earned while returning to work. Afterward, they pay a portion of the benefit based on the amount of income lost that month.

If the insured participates in a rehabilitation program to prepare for returning to full-time work, they’ll pay for part or all of the costs.

After the insured recovers from a disability, they pay recovery benefits if the insured continues to experience a loss of income due to the injury or sickness that caused the disability.

There are no coverage limitations on the benefits they pay for disabilities caused by mental disorder or substance abuse.

The Standard will pay a survivor benefit for three months beyond the date of the insured’s death, if the insured dies while disability or recovery benefits are payable.

They pay a monthly benefit if the insured is disabled more than six months after the policy’s effective date from a sickness or injury caused by cosmetic or transplant surgery.

They will waive all premiums due under the policy while disability or recovery benefits are payable.

Coverage is guaranteed renewable to the termination date (the policy anniversary after age 67) as long as the premium is paid on time. The Standard Insurance company will not change any part of the policy, except for the premium. Even then, they may only change the premium after the policy is three years old and if the change applies to all policies with similar benefits insuring the same risk class.

Call Jeff Pennington today at 1-877-221-6198 and let him help you make the best choice for your disability insurance policy. It helps to have an expert on your side to get the best rates and policy available from the right disability insurance provider.

Have you recently been through bankruptcy? If so you may have found that it’s harder to buy a disability insurance policy. If so perhaps we can help. We work with multiple disability insurance providers, and some of them will insure people who have been through a recent bankruptcy. Give us a call or use the form on the right to get us started working on your behalf.

Personal bankruptcy often limits your ability to acquire disability insurance at affordable rates. Insurance companies will often consider your low credit rating a business risk, because you may not be able to pay premiums on time. They will often charge higher premiums and might limit your access to the best pricing for policies.

Here are a few tips about getting disability insurance coverage after a bankruptcy:

Put together a file of documentation that shows your ability to pay your current bills on time. If you’ve been paying your bills on time since your bankruptcy and can show documentation to an insurance company, you will be more likely to get better pricing on a policy.

Compare the rates for disability insurance policies from several companies.

Discuss your current financial situation with us and let us see if we can help you find good coverage. We’ll check to see if you are eligible for any discounts as well.

Keep paying your auto loan, credit cards, and mortgage on time. Disability insurance companies have been impacted by the current economic recession and some have started easing their policies on bankruptcy.

Contact your disability insurance company if you think you’ll be late on a payment. Your bankruptcy history may result in the company marking your account past due quicker than a normal policy holder. Think about using a payment plan to pay premiums so that you won’t accidentally miss a payment.

Call Jeff Pennington today at 1-877-221-6198 and let him help you make the best choice for your disability insurance policy. It helps to have an expert on your side to get the best rates and policy available from the right insurance provider.

If you’re a CRNA and are responsible for some or all of the monthly expenses of your home and family, you should consider purchasing a personal disability insurance policy.

As a CRNA, you probably make between $77,000 and $197,000 per year or more. You may have large monthly expenses as well, such as medical or nursing school loans, a home mortgage, and perhaps private school tuition for your kids.
